JPMA school puts seven iPods up for grabs at MYS
JPMA is holding a competition at MYS to celebrate its 15th year as a top school for maritime professionals
Not one, but seven iPods are up for grabs courtesy of John Percival Marine Associates (JPMA) at the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show (MYS).
The competition marks the 15th anniversary year for JPMA (Hoylake Sailing School), a maritime school which specialises in crew training for yachts and superyachts. The school offers a range of different Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) marine courses.
Anna Percival-Harris, managing director of JPMA, told Yachting Pages, "We are very excited to be celebrating our 15th anniversary. So many companies in the UK have faced financial problems over the last few years, but JPMA has been growing year-on-year."
"In addition, visitors to MYS who book a course at JMPA during the show can be entitled to a 15% discount on their course fees (including exam fees).
"We want to be able to share this with our students, so we thought, 'How about 15% off in our 15th year?' Plus, everyone loves an iPod!" said Anna.
The draw will be made on Saturday 22nd September at Monaco Yacht Show. Interested parties can enter the competition simply by 'liking' JPMA's Facebook page.
Meanwhile, JPMA has expanded its premises in Wirral, United Kingdom, having taken over the building adjacent to its training centre. "The expansion into the building next door has come at the perfect time," Anna told Yachting Pages.
"The changes to all of the Yacht Career Opportunities Centres, as of July next year, mean that we will be offering more courses than ever before."
Advantages of this include an additional large training room, which will be primarily used for the STCW95 Basic Safety Training qualification and the OOW Efficient Deckhand course.
